  so we all know that carey barber died recently.. i was wondering if most jw's know about this news.

  do they make an announcement at the congregations?

  have a moment of silence?.

  So I guess my next question is:

  Do they announce his replacement?

  I'm guessing that they probably don't, or if they do, it's a tiny blurb in the wt or awake.

  I was wondering if most JW's know about this news.

  Do they make an announcement at the congregations? Have a moment of silence?

  Do they talk about what a good witness he was,...etc?

  What about Bethel? They would all know,...I'm sure.

  So do they make an official announcement and have a really large funeral memorial?

  AS A 16 YEAR OLD am i able to choose to have a blood transfusion

  Yet if you are unconscious and your family are JW's they could make that decision for you. You might want to carry a card in your wallet that says I ACCEPT BLOOD TRANSFUSIONS.

  Why couldn't I have been a Mormon?!

  i watched the first part of the frontline special on mormons last night and i just visited the website.

  mormons are so much cooler than jws.

  they have a bloody history, pride in their ancestory and their temples are beautiful!

  Why is it that the mormons have twice the amount of members compared to JWs? They have been in existence for about the same amount of time.

  What is different about the mormon marketing campaigns compared to the JW door to door marketing campaigns?

  dear friends,.

  much of what we do on a daily basis is routine and of no particular, earth-shaking importance.

  however, after reviewing letters of family going back to wwii, it is fascinating to read what dad was doing on board the aircraft carrier in the pacific on any old day, what mom was cooking on her ever-steaming range, how i was dealing with the roller coaster of emotion at bethel [mom saved all my letters], how nana wrote that she would not study with the witnesses [per my request] but 'here are some mittens i knitted for you when you canvass new york with your magazines.

  I just left the dentist,...and now I'm beginning to feel the after affects of the root canal. Once I get home the darvaset should do away with the throbbing ache.

  What hurts the most is that my insurance only covers $1000 for the year. After all four procedures I have to go through to fix everything I will owe between 2-5k.

  Ugh....
